Last Chance Pits is a "virtual" shelter dedicated solely to pit bulls in shelters in Tennessee and the surrounding states.  

This site is dedicated to bully breed dogs in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Arkansas.  Although we have transport contacts and will try our hardest to get an urgent dog to you, please note that you may need to take transport options into consideration. 

All of the dogs listed on this site are located in shelters and scheduled to be euthanized. 

Depending on the shelter, some dogs have more time than others.   However, due to limited space and overflow of animals in shelters, unless these dogs are adopted, rescued or fostered, euthanasia is unavoidable.  Please remember to check the site often as, for obvious reasons, the dogs listed here change frequently.  

You can be the difference between life and death for one of these very deserving dogs.  

Pit bulls are wonderful companion animals.  They have a playful spirit and goofy personalities.  They have an incredible zest for life...please don't let that go to waste. 

Shelters across the country are overflowing with dogs who are simply the victims of irresponsible owners.  If you wish to adopt one of these urgent pit bulls, please remember, dog ownership is a responsibility and you must be willing to commit to take care of a dog for its entire lifetime!!  Is there a reward for such a committment?  Well...only if you consider unconditional love and endless butt wiggles a reward.
